Biography
Emélie was born September 30, 1885 in Cap Pele, Westmorland, New Brunswick and was baptised on October 4th at Saint-Timothee in Shemogue, Westmorland county. She was the daughter of Hippolyte Landry and Célina Lirette.[1][2]
Her 1st marriage was to Abel Boudreau on September 21, 1903 in Cap Pele, Westmorland county. She was 22 years old. He was 25 and a farmer. Witnesses were Julien Drisdelle and Amanda Landry. They were the parents of 16 children although some did die in infancy and/or childhood.[3]
Widowed in May 1959, her 2nd marriage was to John Charles Gallant on November 16, 1963 in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. She was widowed for a second time in January 1970.
Emélie died at the age of 104 on January 8, 1989 in Shediac, Westmorland, New Brunswick and was buried in Saint Charles-Nativity Roman Catholic Cemetery in Amherst, Cumberland county, sharing a gravestone with her 1st husband Abel Boudreau.[5]

"Emelie Gallant, a resident of Villa Providence in Shediac, recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her family and friends in attendance.
A native of Cap Pele, she is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Paul Landry. Her 1st husband, Abel Boudreau, died in 1959 and her 2nd husband John Gallant, died in 1970.
She had 14 children, 7 of whom are still living as well as 32 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, spending most of her life in Sackville.
On the occasion of her birthday, about 30 members of her family and friends joined residents at the Villa for a party.
Special congratulatory messages were received from Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Jean Paul II, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, Premier Richard Hatfield, Moncton MP Dennis Cochrane and MP Robert Coates, among others.
She also received numerous cards and flowers." [6]

She is originally from St Andre in the parish of Cap Pele. Now a widow. her 1st husband was Abel Boudreau and her 2nd husband was John Gallant.
She had 14 children, 7 of whom are still living. They include: Yvonne Zambryski of Montreal Quebec, Marjorie Richard of Moncton NB, Sally Hand of Georgetown Ontario, Amedee (Meddie) Boudreau of Sackville, Dorina Read of Barrie Ontario, Claire Bru of Quebec and Theresa Chapman of Amherst.

"GALLANT, Emilie Marie (Boudreau) -- 103, Shediac NB, formerly of Amherst, died Sunday at Villa Providence Home, Shediac.
Born in Cape Bauld, NB, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Celina (Lorette) Landry. She was a former member of St Charles Roman Catholic Church, Amherst.
She was survived by 6 daughters: Yvonne [Mrs Stan Zambryski], Montreal, Marjorie [Mrs Edgar Richard], Moncton, Celina [Mrs Marcel Bru], St Foy Quebec, Dorina [Mrs James Read] Barrie Ontario, Theresa [Mrs Robert Chapman], Amherst and a son, Meddie Boudreau, Sackville; 3 step-daughters: Irene Gallant, Margaret Gallant, both of Amherst, Catherine [Mrs Rock Roof] Arvida Quebec; 38 grandchildren; 68 GR grandchildren; 28 GR GR grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Abel Boudreau; her 2nd husband John Gallant; a daughter Ann Durant, 6 sons: Arthur, Paul, Amie, Alex, Fred and Laurie Boudreau.
The body is in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Visiting today 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and from where prayers will be held 8 pm Tuesday.
Funeral mass will be held 10 am Wednesday, St Charles Roman Catholic Church, Amherst, Rev David MacDonald officiating. Spring burial in St Charles Cemetery, Amherst.
