Thanks Dale. I'm investigating. Lots of common facts on FamilySearch, so likely the same person. I am concerned about the death date. The burial record for the Donat Landry that died on April 19, 1824 says "Donate, age 70 yrs., bur. 19 Mar. 1824 (SGA-8, 118)". Both Landry-6840 and Landry-4987 have a birth date of March 14, 1773, so they would have been 51 years old, not 70. It could be incorrectly recorded. I'm doing more digging to see what else I can find.

I went ahead and merged them. I think that "age 70 yrs" at death was incorrect. Karen Theriot Reader's geneanet site also cites this same death record. She writes: "He would have been 51 years old? - Donate LANDRY, age 70 years [sic], buried 19 Mar 1824 (SGA-8, 118)" https://gw.geneanet.org/katheriot?lang=en&pz=karen+ann&nz=theriot&p=donat+joseph&n=landry
