Biography

Adela "Delia" Landry was born around 1876, according to censuses and her obituary.

Her parents were Valsin Landry and Uranie Dupuis.^[1]

She married Joseph Elesse Landry, son of Jules Marc Landry and Marie Carmelite Rivet, on 30 January 1894 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Witnesses were Jules Landry, Laurent Landry, Aristilde Achet, Bienvenue Landry, Cerilia Landry, Superville Landry, Odila Chedotale, Julienne Hebert, Maurice Aleman, Mathilda Landry, and Theresa L.^[1][2]

Adela married Leon Fabre Sylve, son of Issac Sylve and Virginia (Barthelemy) Sylva, on 10 May 1947 in New Orleans.^[3]

She died in 1964 in Morgan City, Louisiana, where two of her children, Clarence Landry and Olize (Landry) Mayon, lived.^[4]
