Biography

Lola was born in Port Pirie, the third child of Harold Arthur Lane, a milk vendor, and his wife Ethel, nee Summers.^[1]

At the age of 20 years, Lola married Howard Clive (Clive) Engstrom, a farmer from Nelshaby, in the Methodist Manse at 67 King Street, Solomontown, Port Pirie.^[2] Together they raised two daughters in Port Pirie.

In late 1992, Lola was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away at Port Pirie on 10th March 1993. Her cremated remains were interred next to Clive at the Port Pirie Cemetery.^[3][4]
