3. She was dau of William Aubrey Lane, Secretary to the Hon the Irish Society (Descended from William Lane of Shetton, sister of the celebrated Jane Lane, whose cool courage and resource saved the life of Charles II after the Battle of Worcester, Ref 2).

4. Mrs Galwey is gr.gr.dau of Rt Hon Hugh Lane MR, and cousin of Sir Hugh Lane, the well-known art collector.

5. Her mother was Gertrude LLona, dau of ___ Robertson of the Dogleap, Roe Valley, Limavady, Co Derry (Refs 4 & 1). [Limavady is Irish for ‘leap of the dog’].
