Biography
Don Kent Lane was the son of Snow Lane and Sallie Matt Hardison. He was born in 1937.[1] He died in 2018 and is buried in Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon, Texas.[2]
OBITUARY: Don Kent Lane, 81 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, December 31, 2018,in Vernon, Texas.
Services will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gib Baskerville officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Don was born Saturday, July 17, 1937 in Vernon, Texas; he was the son of the late Lucious Lane and the late Sallie Hardison Lane. He married Martha Baldwin on November 6, 1959. He was retired from the Vernon State Hospital after 28 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Martha Lane of the home, two daughters, Lisa Lane Wellman of Vernon, TX and Taran Lane of Corpus Christi, TX. six grandchildren Mathew Wellman, Joshua Wellman, Katie Wellman, Heather Brown Dillard, Jody Brown, Nathan Kent Lane. Three great grandchildren Teressa Brown, Westin Dillard and Brayden Dillard.
Family visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 5-7 pm at funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, March of Dimes or Shiners Children Hospital.
