James Fleming Lane married Mary Elizabeth Sink on November 5, 1881 in Darke, Ohio.

James Fleming Lane, aged 68 years, well known resident of Darke County, died suddenly at his home in Coletown, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Lane was a retired blacksmith having operated a shop at Nashville, west of the city, until eight years ago. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Deo Teaford; three sons, Charles, Roscoe and Glen Lane; nine grandchildren; one brother; three sisters and may friends.
