James was born[1] 23rd October 1810 at Richmond, the son of Lucy Lane (and James Knell).
He married[2] Sarah Jones 27th March 1843 at Singleton, NSW>
James died[3] 6th December 1885 at Bingara and is buried[4] in the Miller plot at the Old Church of England Cemetery, Bingara; Row J, Position 66.
