Jonathan Lane was born to Robert and Sarah (Pickett) Lane in Stratford, Connecticut October 16, 1685.[1]
He married first, Mercy Wellman, February 1, 1710/11 in Killingworth, Connecticut.[2]
He married second, as her second husband, Patricia (Jenners) Strong (widow of Elnathan), September 17, 1730 in Killingworth, Connecticut.[2]. It should be noted that in at least one reference, Jonathan's last name is indicated as "Law" rather than "Lane" as Patience's second husband.[3]
Jonathan had five children born in Killingworth, Connecticut:[1]

Zerulah, b September 6, 1723, died young
Jonathan, b December 22, 1731
Noah, b January 13, 1733/4
Captain Jonathan Lane resided in Killingworth, and was deputy to the General Assembly 1729 to 1756, Captain 1745, and Justice of the Peace 1749-1759. He died November 7, 1759 at age 74 years. [1]
