Mary Lane was born circa 1680, in Lanesville, King and Queen county, Virginia, a daughter of Captain John Lane and Mary Bird. [1] Mary married James Howell, born 1660, in England (perhaps a brother of Sir John Howell?) [2] Children of Mary and James include:

John Howell, born 1698, died before 1724
James Howell died on Christmas Day, 1699, in King and Queen county, Virginia. Mary married, secondly, Henry Fielding, born 1670, in King and Queen county, Virginia, a son of Edward and Frances Fielding. [3] Children of Mary and Henry include:
Frances Fielding, born after 1699, in Warner Hall, Gloucester county, Virginia, married Colonel John Lewis
Mary (Lane) Fielding died in 1704. Henry Fielding died October 27, 1731, in King and Queen county, Virginia.
Researchers Notes
The Find A Grave memorial for Mary "Agnes" Howell has a comment that she is the 1/2 sister of Frances Fielding who married Colonel John Lewis (1694-1754) the brother of Mary's husband, Charles Lewis. [need correct FindAGrave memorial number, cls]
Apparently the FindAGrave memorial has changed (no longer includes Agnes). Memorial number is 78720395.[4]
