Biography

Geraldine Eden Mary Stella Lane (married name Spring) was born in 1880 in Footscray, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of James Hogan Lane and Mary Ann Lane.^[1]

She married John Patrick Spring on 27 April 1909 in Footscray, Victoria.^[2][3][4] Their children were:

• Geraldine Mary Spring (1910–?)^[5]
• William Emmet Spring (1911–1994)^[6]
• Denver John Spring (1916–1987)^[7][8]

In 1936, Geraldine and Jack and two of their three children enjoyed an overseas cruise holiday, returning to Victoria on the Strathnaver after an Eastern cruise in the Viceroy of India.^[9] In 1933, the family had holidayed to China and Japan.^[10]

In 1942, Geraldine and Jack were living on Nicholson Street in Fitzroy, Victoria.^[11]

Jack died in 1957.^[12]

Geraldine died in 1962 in East Melbourne, Victoria, aged 79.^[13]
