Thomas, the son of James Lane and Ursula Henning was b. 1764 in Prince Frederick Parish, SC. He m. Sarah Moore, dau of William Moore of Williamsburg about 1800. They had at least one son by the name of John W Lane (1811-1886). He probably died prior to 17 Feb 1815 when Thomas listed his wife Sarah in his will.
