Sackville Walter Lane Fox did not marry Susannah Charlotte Olding, as there is no evidence of a marriage and she is recorded as a spinster when she died in 1881.[1]

Accounts have arrived from Hornby Castle, at the Duke of Leeds’s, in Whitehall, of the death of Lady Charlotte Lane Fox, who expired there on Sunday. Mrs. L. Fox and Lady Caroline L. Fox have been sent to, as well as the Marquis of Carmarthen who is in Scotland.

We have to record the death of Mr. Sackville W. Lane-Fox, which took place at his lodgings in Pall Mall, on Tuesday, after a very short illness. He married in May, 1826, Lady Charlotte, only daughter of George W. Frederick, 6th Duke of Leeds, by Charlotte, daughter of George, 1st Marquis Townshend, by whom, who died 17th January, 1836, he leaves with other issue, George Sackville Lane-Fox, Lord Conyers. Mr. Lane-Fox was the third son of Mr. James Lane-Fox, of Bramham park, Yorkshire, and sat in the House of Commons during several Parliaments.

Sackville Walter is not interred in the Lane-Fox family plot at All Saints Church Bramham. Due to his relationship with Susannah Charlotte Olding his legitimate son Sackville George refused to allow him to be interred in the family plot, where his wife Charlotte Mary Anne Georgina is interred. He is interred in an unmarked grave in St Luke's churchyard Clifford.
Sackville George also challenged his fathers will, unsuccessfully.
Sackville Walter Lane- Fox did not marry Susannah Charlotte Olding. After the death of his wife Charlotte Mary Ann Georgina, Sackville Walter entered into a relationship with Susannah Charlotte which lasted until his death in 1874.
There are no records for either of them or their daughters from 1861 until 1874 when they lived in France.
