David followed his father Ezekiel to Vermont and was at Pittsford, Vermont at the time of the War of 1812. He filed a pension application 3 April 1818 when he was a resident of Brookfield, Madison, NY listing his family at that time to be wife Esther and five children under the age of 10 years. He is said to have had 18 children. {by whom?} Adah Beebe Seger says land records in Vermont show that David followed his father, Ezekiel Jr. to Vermont where son Pliny married Hannah Stetson. On 21 Jun 1820, David stated he was age 56, a carpenter unable to work and his right arm "lame and somewhat withered." He married (1st) Esther (Ester) Langdon, 27 Mar 1784 at Wilbraham, Hampden, Massachusetts,820. Esther Langdon was born in 1762 at Wilbraham, Hampden, Massachusetts, and died sometime prior to Sep 1810. {why this date} Esther Langdon is the daughter of Lewis and Rachel (Cooley) Langdon Sr., although some records call her mother Submit Cooley which is an error. Submit m. Esther's brother, Lewis Langdon Jr. Lewis and Rachel had two daughters named Eshter with one dying young. According to a descendant, Lettie Groshel of Virginia Beach, VA, this is all documented in Vital Records of Wilbraham, MA.

Research Notes

  1. ) 2022-09-26: Up to this date, David Beebe had been assigned as a son of both Ezekiel Beebe I and Ezekiel Beebe II. On this date the copy of the profile of David Beebe Sr. linked as a son of Ezekiel Beebe II was moved to link him as a son of Ezekiel Beebe Sr. A merge was then initiated to combine the two profiles of David under Ezekiel Beebe I. The basis for this correction is the land deed in which the Mary Beebe widow of deceased Ezekiel Beebe I and her children, David and Ruth Beebe transfer the title of the real estate held in the estate of Ezekiel Beebe I to Samuel Beebe.
  2. ) 2022-09-17: There is some sort of genealogical error in the heretofore profiles of David Beebe-2719 of this profile and David Beebe Sr. (1763-1831). These profiles presently have the same wives and vital data, but born to Ezekiel I and Ezekiel II and Mary.
    1. ) Dr. Alan Henry: Has David Beebe (554.) (1763-1831) as a son of Ezekiel II (213.). Henry does NOT have a son David for Ezekiel I ((79.), but does have a daughter Ruth for this Ezekiel.
  3. ) 26 Jan 2018. As of this date no reliable source has been found to substantiate Alexander, nor Erastus M. to be the children of David Beebe and they have been removed from this profile.
  4. ) 26 Jan 2018. Plinny, Cyphronia, cited in the Wilbraham Vital records were added.

Langdon-1793 and Langdon-1222 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same husband, similar vital data; obvious duplicate
