Biography
Arvona Rachel "Mona"Lange was born 15 June 1922 in Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Melvin Lange and Lillian A Wilhelmina Lange.
1930 census Melvin Harold Lange Sr (age 33 misspelled Malven) and his wife Lillian (age 36) are living on a farm in Excelsior, Sauk, Wisconsin with their children: Stuart J (age 10), Arvone R (age 7), Kendall B (age 5), Marjorie L (age 4), Melvin Jr (age 2, misspelled Malven), and Milton H (age 0). They rent their home. All were born in Wisconsin. Age at 1st marriage: Melvin-22; Lillian-25. Melvin is a farmer. Stuart and Arvone are in school.[1]
1940 census Melvin Harold Lange Sr (age 43) and his wife Lillian (age 45) are living on a farm in Excelsior, Sauk, Wisconsin with their children: Stuart J (age 20), Arvone R (age 17), Kendall B (age 16, spelled Kendll), Marjorie L (age 14), Melvin Jr (age 12), and Milton H (age 11), Evan (age 9), Allene (age 7, spelled Arlene), Donald (age 6), and Carol (age 4). They are living in the same house as in 1935. All were born in Wisconsin. Highest grade completed: Melvin, Lillian, Stuart, Arvona, Marjorie- 8th grade; Kendell- 4 yers of high school; Melvin Jr-7th grade; Milton- 4th grade; Evan-2nd grade; Allene and Donald-1st grade. Melvin Sr is a farmer. Kendall, Marjorie, Melvin Jr, Milton, Evan, Arlene, and Donald are in school.[2]
22 Feb 1944 Arvona Lange (age 21) married Delbert John Boye (age 30) in Williamsburg, Virginia.[3]
1967-90 members of Lange family meet for Reunion in Baraboo, Wisconsin.[4]
She passed away at age 83 on 21 June 2005 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg, North Carolina and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte, North Carolina.[5][6][7]
