Another memory of Henry from Mary Lange Beard: " Henry would bring his laundry to my mother for washing and most often would bring peppermint sticks to us. He was alone then, so to help us out a little bit financially plus to get his laundry done he would pay my mother rather than someone else. It was a good arrangement since my mother was also alone, and raising her children by providing laundry service to single loggers in the area.
