Mrs. Barney Humes, 74 years old, of St. Louis, formerly of Egypt Mills, died Friday in St. Louis.
The former Miss Mabel Lange was born in Egypt Mills, a daughter of Charles and Francis Holmes Lange. She married Humes in April 1925 in St. Louis. He survives.
She was a member of the Lafayette Baptist Church in St. Louis for 40 years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are, daughters, Beth Kiger and Ruth Rieme, both of St. Louis; brothers, Willis Lange, Scott City, Floyd Lange, Cape Girardeau, and Clyde Lange, Stockton, Calif.; sisters, Doris Wilkerson and Bertha Morris, both of Texas, and 12 grandchildren.
A son died in 1976.
The body is at McGulophuim Funeral Home in St. Louis where friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lafayette Baptist Church in St. Louis.
