"Philip Langelens, agriculturist, and wife and two children" arrived at New Netherland in December 1659 aboard the Faith (De Trou) per page 146 of the Year Book of the Holland Society of 1896.

Why is there New Netherland in the bio and Nederland in the data fields for birth? New Netherlands sounds very unlikely given the marriage in Pijnacker.

The comment below mention primary sources, are those already available so they can be added?

It's corrected now B.W.J, was looking at the archive and it really looks great...lot's of records or deeds for them eeh :) The orphanage chamber records maybe have some interesting info as well ...

His father used "Langelaen", see christening of his sister Trijntje, 1623. Jan, probably a brother of Philip, married in Delft in 1636 also using the surname Langelaen.

Hi B.W.J,

Looking at the baptims, maybe his LNAB was Claesz and he adopted the last name Langelaen later ? (since the name is mentioned in 1644 at the baptims of son Nicolaus and missing (Langelaen or last name, only patronymic Claesz) in 1643 ? Maybe you can find the marriage record for them , that would be great, and of course....please feel free to add the records to the Bio's BWJ .. and thanks a lot for the help !

Greets , Bea

LNAB should be Langelaen? I found 6 christenings in Pijnacker, indicating the marriage was in/before 1643:

- Annetgen 1643 - Nicolaus 1644 - Cornelis 1645 - Annitgen 1649 - Annitgen 1650 - Jannetjen 1654
