Obituary

Harroddsburg (Kentucky) Herald, 4 April 1913

Mr. John Langford, a well-known farmer and stock trader, was so badly injured at the home of Mr. W. L. Isaacs, near Gravel Switch, this week, that he died soon afterward. They were shearing some mules and as one of the animals was being driven into the barn he ran against a pole with such force that it was knocked down and in falling the pole struck the old gentleman, who is eighty-two, in the breast, inflicting an injury from which he died. He is the father of Mr. William Langford, the well-known miller of this city, and of Messrs. Robert and J. H. Langford, prominent farmers of Mercer. Two other sons, Messrs. Fletcher and Claude Langford, live at Paris, Ill. HH Fri Apr 4, 1913)
