Supposed father Eli Langford appears refuted by Lisa Coan:
I am 98% certain we don’t come from Eli and would prefer not having that linked on any trees. I’ve been working on a large Langford project for a couple years now, and it included a review of 100 autosomal DNA matches between descendants of Enoch, John, Rufus Wiley, Robert, Nancy Langford Bruton, and Sarah Langford Allen. I believe these are all siblings, and John and Rufus have their own section on the ftdna y-dna surname project. This project proves they don’t come from Eli.
I’m working on a long report linking these siblings through DNA, geography, and naming practices, among other things. They may also be kin to Rebecca Langford Rinehart who died in Alcorn, MS, but so far I can’t disprove some folks' theory that she comes from Eli’s Matthew. Still working on that and would love to discuss! But a few of her known descendants do have DNA matches to descendants of the other 6 “siblings” I just mentioned.
The Eli “myth” is a longstanding error, I feel certain, and I am trying to convincingly eradicate it with my work. Once my report is slightly farther along I hope to share it as a blog, so all interested parties can see my findings. I’ve also communicated with Earl Langford on all this, in 2016 I think.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Enoch by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Enoch:
