Hi Earl, When I was merging Benjamin Long Sr. 9750 into Long-6121 I lost your original ref: can't find it in Changes. it was History of? P?

Hi I would like to confirm Samuel Clarence Langfords dna to you and your tree but i don't know how. I took an autosomal dna test and a mtdna test. Samuel Langford is my mothers father though.

Earl,

Received your message Benjamin/Jesse Long. That is great that you have so much information! I follow the Long's so whenever one is added or changed I receive notice (You can do this by going to My WikiTree link at the top, then select NAV HOME PAGE. Scroll down to just below your Wiki Genealogy Feed. There is a link to edit followed surnames where you can add up to 20 names or "tags" such as DNA or Categories (things you are interested in) and then whenever it/name is mentioned in G2G or a change is made you receive notice.

Please add info as you can, and in the meantime, if you need any help or have any questions, let me know!

Glad you can add to the Long family and by all means add Leah to Benjamin Sr. :) Nae

Wow, you have a lot of information on this line!

Throw some locations in, even if it's just states with the country. We've had a ton of Long's coming into WikiTree the last couple of months, so I keep an eye on them...mine are from the New England branch, which will eventually/maybe hook into the southern branch...but then again, maybe not. Most of mine ended up in Western PA and then dispersed after the revolution to west and south... Glad I caught the date...wish we had a fail safe for typo's like that, but not yet.

Happy hunting and researching! One other thing that I do, since you are new, is I follow certain surnames so anytime there is a change on one I get notified and check it out. Long is one because there tend to be a lot of duplciates. Nav Page, Edit followed surnames. :)

Hi Earl,

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our Before You Import a GEDCOM help page. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Hello,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having. How is your experience with Wikitree going? If you have questions regarding Gedcoms, here's the link to the GEDCOM help category: GEDCOMS

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.
