Biography

Fanny Longland(s), daughter of Thomas Longlands and Sarah Janman, [1][2][3] was born in about February 1846 in Westhampnett, Sussex. [1][4] She was baptised on 12 April 1846 in Westhampnett, Sussex. [2] She married Douglas Budd on 5 August 1871 in Westhampnett, Sussex. [3][5] She died in about October 1882 in Westhampnett, Sussex. [6] She was buried on 19 October 1882 in Westhampnett, Sussex. [7]

On 3 April 1881 in Stone Dell Goodwood, Westhampnett, Sussex, with her husband Douglas Budd and their children Rose Budd aged 10, Ada Sarah Budd aged 9, Kate Budd aged 6, William Budd aged 4 and Walter Douglas Budd aged 1. [10]

Research Notes

The birth index [4] shows her surname as Longlands, but the marriage index [5] and the birth registrations of all her children show it as Longland. This is typical of her parents and several of her siblings, who all spell it at different times with or without the "s".
