Biography

Emma was born in Holcombe, Somerset and baptised there on 9 February 1868.^[1] She is the daughter of Aaron Langley and Sarah Beachim.

She was recorded in her parent's household on Rackfernell Road in Midsomer Norton in the 1891 Census. Her occupation was described as mother's help.^[2]

Emma married William James Higgins in Clutton district in 1896.^[3]

In 1901 Emma was living with her husband and their daughter Evelyn in Melksham, Wiltshire.^[4]

The 1911 Census found Emma still in Melksham, with her husband, only child Evelyn and her husband's nephew, 18 year old ]]Watts-5573|Frederick James Watts]].^[5]

Emma died in 1955 in Trowbridge registration district, probably Melksham.^[6]
