Biography

Irving Langmuir was born in Brooklyn in 1881. He was an American chemist and physicist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1932 for his work in surface chemistry. He worked very hard on his research. You might say that he was adsorbed on his work.

He passed away in 1957 in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
