Sir John Langton, Sheriff of Yorkshire was born circa 1387 at of Farnley, Cleckheaton in Birstall, Cowling in Kidwick, Gargrave, Huddleston in Sherburn in Elmer, & Mowthorpe in Terrington, Yorkshire, England.
He married Euphemia Aske, daughter of John Aske and Joan de Shelvestrode, before 1 March 1408.
They had 5 sons (John, Esq; Robert; Henry; William; & Thomas) & 2 daughters (Joan, wife of Henry Vavasour, Esq; & Margaret, wife of William Mering).
Sir John Langton, Sheriff of Yorkshire died on 25 February 1459; Buried at St. Peter's, Leeds.
