Biography
Sidney Lanier was born May 1869, North Carolina.
In Jun 1880, a twelve year old Sidney was working as a servant in the household of Rufus Patterson, Kings Mountain, Cleveland County, North Carolina. [1]
He married Mary Mollie Bennett, about 1887.
In Jun 1900, the family resided in Crowder Mountain Township, Gaston County, North Carolina. Parents Sidney and Mattie, with children Margret, Robert, John, and James. [2]
In May 1910, the family resided in Cherryville, Gaston County, North Carolina. Parents Sidney and Mary, with children Margaret, Robert, James, Lillie, Mary, and Walter. [3]
