Biography

Allen Lanier, Sr. was born in 1701. He was the son of Lewis and Margaret (Waters) Lanier. His grandparents were Lemuel and Sarah (Hardy) Lanier and John W. and Anna Catherine (Moreman) Waters.

Allen first married Martha Hendrix on 14 May 1814 in Bulloch County, Georgia. They had one child:

  1. Lenora Lanier

Note reads that he "lived on the old someplace near Aaron with his mother Margaret who was living in 1830; 1st wife Mary Hendrix 5/14/1814 in Bullock County.

He married second Lavinia "Vinia" Gay on 21 Nov 1815. These are their children:

Allen passed away in 1853 and is buried at the Rosemary Church Cemetery in Metter, GA [1]
