Biography
Sarah Jane was born to Berry Green Lanier and Martha Rogers Lanier in Bulloch County, Georgia in 1872[1] . One day, she looked out of the window of her parents home and saw a man on a white horse riding up to the front of the house. After watching him, she said “I’m going to marry that man”. [2] That man was Julian Hartridge Harvey and they married. Julian and Sarah Jane had 8 children. After Julian died, Sarah Jane moved to Savannah and ran a boarding house. Sarah Jane died in Savannah, Georgia 20 June 1949. [3]
