Roy Lapham, son of Birney Lapham (1844-1923) married Florence Votry(sic). She later married Philip Pfeifer. Roy & Florence had two children:

1. Elizabeth A. born 1906, married Carl Olsosky(sic).
2. Julia F.

Roy C Lapham was born 21 May 1883 in LaGrange, Wyoming County, New York and died there 15 Apr 1908 (aged 24). He was buried in the LaGrange Cemetery.

"Wyoming Reporter, April 22, 1908 (edited):

"Our community was deeply saddened by the death of Roy C. Lapham, which occurred at his home east of LaGrange about 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 15th. Several weeks ago Mr. Lapham had an attack of grippe, from which he had not fully recovered when he was stricken with typhoid fever...

"Roy C. Lapham was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Birney W. Lapham, and was born May 21, 1883, in this community, where he spent his entire life. On January 4, 1905, he was married to Miss Florence Voltry of this place.

"Besides his wife and two little daughters, Elizabeth and Julia, he is survived by his parents, by a sister, Gertrude; a brother, Glen; a half sister, Mrs. Hattie Gardner of East Warsaw; and two half-brothers, Frank of Pavilion, and Barton of this place, who have the sincere sympathy of all in their sad bereavement."
