I'm not sure this Thomas existed. Or if he did that he was the son of Nicholas & Lydia. He seems to be the product of an unclear statement in the main family genealogy.
According to "Laphams in America" there were at least three Nicholas Laphams in a row:
The 1775 Nicholas' entry in "Laphams" labels him as 'Nicholas 4'(for the fourth generation, not the fourth Nicholas) and does not state his children were Nicholas & Thomas. The reference is to his father Nicholas' will providing for him and his brother Thomas:
I haven't found anything confirming that Nicholas b1775 had sons Thomas & Nicholas. There was a Nicholas Lapham (Lapham-330) born in 1804 and a Thomas Lapham born in 1811 both buried in Dartmouth but I haven't found a link yet between them and Nicholas Lapham (abt.1775-). (See Findagrave # 85272452 & 85272467). I will mark the relation as 'uncertain' for now but will keep looking. If not father & sons they are certainly related somehow.[1]
