Josephine Boteler is my great-grandmother. She was born in Maryland and died in New York. I have found other Boteler, Butler relatives in England and Ireland but not in this direct line.
I try to help where/whenever I can.
We are descended from the Southold/Wading River branch.
My parents and a relative of my husband's did a lot of genealogical work that is our starting point. I have found an immense amount more on WikiTree. I would like to contribute what I have that is not already here and collaborate with others where there are questions or discrepancies.

My husband's family; the line is George, James, John, Ebenezer, Capt. Bradford etc

Turns out we have Tuttle ancestors as well as Tuthill ones. Who’d a thunk! Both spellings go back at least to the 16th century in the UK.

Jennifer, thank you for your comment. The problem is, the wrong Samuel Clark in your write up is still incorrect for Hanna. Your reference is correct about Samuel's parents; however, they are the parents of Samuel Clark, Jr. (Clark-9611: 1646-1729), NOT Samuel Clark, Sr. (Clark-533: 1654-1730). The parents of Clark-533 are James Clark-1851 (1608-1682) and Unknown Clark. My info comes from History & Genealogy of Samuel Clark, Sr., & His Descendants from 1636-1892 by Rev. Edgar W. Clark, A.M. (2nd ed.). Nixon-Jones: St. Louis, p.10. It is quite clear in this ref. that Clark-9611 d. Feb. 22, 1729, his wife was Hannah Tuttle-71 daughter of John (Tuttle-28). They had 12 children, including Daniel (the orphan). Clark Jr (Clark-9611) parents were Clark-2048 and Fordham-97. Profile needs fixing!

I think I corrected the Profile of John L'Hommedieu. I still don't know how to let you access the record to change it. Sorry for the error. Judy Heyse

Thanks you for all your emails. I'm not on WikiTree very often. If you find a problem with something I entered, you may change it. Most of the information I have of the Hudsons came from a family bible in the possession of my father's aunts family. Also from and But I consider myself a novice on WikiTree.

Hi Jennifer, Got your message. I think we need more evidence to provide a clearer family story. But besides that, do you live near Waterbury, CT? I think Mary Upson's headstone is in the wall of the old Library Park.

Hi Jennifer, I'd be glad to work with you to get the 'John Wells' profiles straightened out. The information on Wells-167 says that his parents and wife are unknown. Should they be detached from Wells-167? There are two profiles for his supposed wife, Jane Antrobus (64 & 146). Should they be merged, and left attached to Welles-105? Please let me know what I can do to help.

Not sure if this is the right people.

Elizabeth and Mary Major, were sisters? Came to Newport from the Island of Guernsey in 1717. They brought with them a letter from the Church of that year. and united with the Trinity Church in Newport. Left home on account of domestic misunderstanding with their step mother. I read this on line, from a page from that book, but could not find it again. And this was I copied from that page.
