Biography

Magdeleine Lapierre was born 20 May 1741. She was the daughter of Michel Lapierre and Madeleine Caissy. She was baptized the next day at Beaubassin. Her godparents were Pierre Poyrie and Marie Joseph Lapierre.^[1][2]

Madeleine Lapierre, native of Isle Royale, Acadie, here for 2 years married Francois Lorthion, son of Rene and Marie Ratte 7 January 1761, Rochefort, France. Her father Michel was deceased at the time of the wedding.^[3]

She married second, 18 Aug 1761 to Mathieu Davoux of Louisbourg (no parents given) in Rochefort, France.^[4]
