Biography

Samuel was born in 1844. He was the son of Ambrose Large and Catherine Chilcote.

He was living with his parents in Newark, Licking, Ohio in 1850.[1]

He moved with his parents to Jackson township, LaGrange, Indiana by 1860.[2]

He married Nancy Jane Richard (or Reichard) on 22 Dec 1863 in Van Wert county, Ohio.[3] They had children.

They were in Maumee township in Allen, Indiana in 1870.[4]

Jane died in 1878. He married Martha E. Steward on 17 Aug 1879 in LaGrange county, Indiana.[5]

They were in Van Buren in LaGrange county in 1880.[6] He was a blacksmith.

Samuel and Martha moved to Wren, Van Wert, Ohio by 1900.[7] They were in Willshire, Van Wert, Ohio in 1910.[8]

He passed away in 1917.[9]
