He was the son of Irish Immigrants. His Father Patrick and uncle Thomas travelled to Australia from Wexford and established themselves and then brought their wives out from Ireland. Young Tom was born on the family farm at Tatong and raised there. At the age of 33 he married 21 year old Ada Clements who lived on an adjoining farm. In 1931 the family sold up and moved to Seaford a outer suburb of Melbourne to give better education opportunities for their large family.....
