It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lydia:
Lydia Lee (profile Lee-26564) and Lydia Larkin are often confused but are two different people; Lydia Larkin (this profile) was not Lydia Lee, was not born in Lyme, and did not marry Jonathan Babcock; she was born in Westerly, RI and married Caleb Church. See comment below for source of confusion
Lydia Larkin was the wife of Caleb Church (married July 29, 1753). Jonathan Babcock's wife was Lydia Lee (married November 26, 1749). Arnold's Vital Records lists two marriages on that date to Jonathan Babcock, one correctly to Lydia Lee, one incorrectly to Lydia Larkin, both citing Vol. 1, p. 95 of the town records. I contacted the Town Clerk of South Kingstown, RI, who provided me with a copy of the original handwritten entry (Vol. 1, p. 95 referred to in Arnold), which lists Lydia Lee not Lydia Larkin as Babcock's wife. I will try to post a screenshot of the handwritten entry, but this should clear up a 269-year-old mystery as to the true identity of Jonathan Babcock's wife.
