Research Notes

  • Savage does not mention Richard's wife.[6]
  • Ancestry Trees frequently call her Elizabeth Grace Larabee daughter of Greenfield. And indeed Elizabeth Larabee, dtr of Greenfield, was born 23 Jan 1652, in Saybrook, Connecticut.[7]
  • Grace is not listed as a child of Greenfield Larrabee in the Vital Records of Connecticut. [8]
  • There are no records for a Grace Larrabee in the Barbour Collection
  • Ancestry search, turns up the trees and a US and Intl Marriage record to James Eaton.
  • All the hits at AmericanAncestors are for modern Grace Larabees.

Unknown-369579 and Larrabee-24 appear to represent the same person because: they share similar vital statistics and the same spouse, Richard Cook/Cooke (when merged).

Before I approve/complete this merge, be aware that there is no reliable source showing the existence of a Grace Larabee d/o Greenfield. The wife of Richard Cooke is Grace Unknown

Larrabee-1080 and Unknown-369579 appear to represent the same person because: She is not Larrabee

Larabee-12 and Unknown-369579 appear to represent the same person because: She is unknown not Larrabee

Larabee-12 and Larabee-1080 are duplicates. Grace was not a daughter of Greenfield. His daughter Elizabeth was born on the date listed for Grace.

-12 or -1080 should probably be changed to Unknown. -1080 should be disconnected from parents. -12 and -1080 should be merged

What are the sources for Richard Cooke marrying Grace Larrabee? Torrey has her last name as Grace _________ ...?

What is the source of her last name at birth? Torrey shows Richard Cook married Grace _______ ...?

In searching Norwich VR's, no Grace Larrabee (or any name close to that) has been found. Looking further throughout CT, there is no Grace born between 1650 and 1665.

All the other Larrabee children were born in Saybrook, two sources of which are on her "father's" profile.

If there are no sources for her name, her last name at birth should be changed to Unknown.

There isn't a daughter named Grace Larrabee but there is an Elizabeth Larrabee who was born on January 23, 1652 (same date of birth as Grace) but Elizabeth was married to Joshua Hempstead then 2nd. to John Edgecomb. So your ancestor Grace Cook must be someone else other then a daughter of Greenfield Larrabee.
