Jakobine Larsdatter Sellereite was born on 13 Mar 1846 in Hjørundfjord, the daughter of Lars Jonsen (1791 - 1853) and Borni Baardsdatter (1801 - 1879).^[1]

In the 1865 census, Jakobine was a maid in the household of Baar Larsen at Seljereite in Hjørundfjord.^[2]

Jakobine married Erik Berntsen (1836 - 1909) on 31 May 1869 in Hjørundfjord.^[3] Their children were:

1. Bernt Andreas Eriksen (1870 - 1884)
2. Berte Oline Eriksdatter (1874 - 1913)
3. Lars Edvard (Eriksen) Aakre (1877 - 1943)
