I am interested in helping lost family members, those who were adopted, or families who have become disconnected from the rest of us, or those who are interested in learning about their roots. Let's all help those who are seeking to learn about themselves, their parents, and their ancestry, they have the right to know!

Hi there Dean,

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hi Dean, I see that you just volunteered and signed our honor code. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically significant ancestors? I see you have surnames for tags. Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Let me know if you need any help! We're glad to have you on board!!

Hi Dean

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering,? and we hope that you will find relatives here on WikiTree. If not?,? we hope that you will add them to our shared tree?.

Have fun, enjoy the site and don't forget to ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

Come join the conversation on the G2G forum with the Question of the Week!! This week we’re asking Have you stumbled upon any strange deaths of your ancestors? Bizarre? Peculiar? Unusual?

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a great bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

Thanks, Dorothy
