Biography

He was born about about 1657 in Västra Skedvi based on the information in his death record in June 1711. Clement (or mainly named "Clemet" in the records) Larsson from Lermansbo, Västra Skedvi was buried on 18 June 1711, 54 years old.[1]

Clement Larsson and his wife Kerstin (Nilsdotter) lived in Lermansbo, Västra Skedvi until his death in 1711.[2]

Based on their age, Clement and Kerstin would have married (in Västra Skedvi?) around 1682/1683, as his first child Kerstin was born in October 1678 (christened 13 October 1678) out of wedlock.

He then lived in Alvesta(boda), Västra Skedvi. In 1683 his second child, daughter Karin was born, and presumably he had married Kerstin Nilsdotter just before that, but then the family moved to Lermansbo, Västra Skedvi.[3]

Apart from references to his children's birth records, the only confirmed church record for Clement Larsson is his death record in June 1711.[4]

From our research we have found that Clement and Kerstin had at least nine children together. However, as we know Kerstin, born 1678, was born out of wedlock, and Clement Larsson had to pay a fine, it's reasonble to assume that she has another, unknown mother:

Kerstin (oäkta, född 1678) och Kerstin (äkta, född 1688) har INTE samma mor. Detta styrks av det faktum att de mer sannolikt gifte sig året innan eller samma år som deras första, kända gemesamma barn, Karin föds 1683.
