Anders Gustav was born 4 February 1864 in Bagghyttan[1], Torsåker parish to day labourer Lars Andersson and his wife Stina Lisa Kinnlund. He was their first child.[2][3][4]

The family moved to By parish in 1869[5] and then arrived at Nordbäcksbo in Husby parish in 1877.

It is noted in the household record that Anders Gustaf Larsson left for North America 13 April 1888.[6][7]
He met Augusta Costello (originally Lindorff) in Granite (now a ghost town) and they married in Philipsburg, Granite County, Montana in 1899.

Gustav Larson passed away in March 1901.[8]
