  • Obituary:Funeral services for Henry Peter Lashomb, 86, will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Mary's Church.
The body will be placed in the Calvary vault for burial in St. Patrick's Brasher in the spring.
Mr. Lashomb died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Ormsby 61 Bishop Avenue at 6:10 Sunday evening. He had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill since November.
He was born May 8, 1858 at Brasher Falls, a son of Peter and Elmira (Quenell) Lashomb. He and Miss Anna Lalonde of St. Andrews Ontario were married at Sacred Heart Church May 19, 1879. For several years after their marriage they resided on a farm on the Maple Ridge, later moving to their homestead on the Brasher Center Road. About six years ago they came to Massena to make their home with their daughter.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Walter of Brasher Falls and Melvin of Potsdam; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Gertrude) Layo and Mrs. Frank (Rebie) Ormsby both of Massena; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; three brothers, Peter of Antwerp, Fred of Brasher Falls and Bert of Massena; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth O'Keefe of Fayetteville.
