I have found Elisabetha Catharina Lauck in The Palatine Families of New York vol. 1 pages 522 and 523 by Henry Z Jones, Jr. The spelling of her name at birth is Lauck. I can not change the spelling in her profile, so I am emailing you. It says she was baptized on 10/7/1696. She married Johann Michael Schauer in 1717 (Tulpehocken Chbk. entry after the event)

Laux-174 and Laux Lauck-1 appear to represent the same person because: same father, same place, same siblings, close dates

from Merle:

...in the book "The Palatine Families of NY" by Henry Z Jones, Jr. he lists two Annaes. Anna Maria is born in 11/19/1730 and baptized in Heidelberg PA and Anna Christina is listed separately no birth date. And, in their father's will written 1771 and recorded in 1772 at his death, both daughters are listed.

Hi again! Please develop this profile & add verifiable sources. Nancy rejected matches among Lauck-45, Lauck-39, and this profile, but I am confident that those profiles do not represent three different individuals, but two. That means Laux-35 needs to be merged with one of the other two or those two need to be merged. All of the profiles need work in order to clarify what merges should be made (that's what the unmerged match setting is for, and these profiles should be set in unmerged matches while Nancy, you, and other profile managers add your sources).

Thanks!

Hi Joan! Could you please develop this profile & add your sources? I've been trying to help a new member with all the duplicate Laux/Lauck profiles. Although Nancy rejected the match, I am confident that Lauck-45, Lauck-39, and Laux-35 do not represent three different individuals, and therefore these profiles should be set in unmerged matches while Nancy, you, and other profile managers add your sources. Thanks!

Arthur - I was asking you, since you're the manager of the profile. This isn't my line/area of research at all, but you had asked for my help in how to merge. It's all yours! (And any other interested/informed WikiTree members :D)

Cheers, Liz
