Biography

James Lauderdale was born after 1773 in Botetourt County, Virginia, son of Thomas Lauderdale (1753 - ) and Unknown (Unknown) Lauderdale (~1755 - ).

James married Ann Jones (~1780 - ) on 6 Dec 1799 in Greene County, TN.[1]

Their children were:

  1. Elizabeth Lauderdale (~1800 - )
  2. Sarah Lauderdale (~1803 - <1860)
  3. Mary Lauderdale (~1806 - )
  4. Thomas Jones Lauderdale (~1810 - ~1855)
  5. Robert L Lauderdale (~1811 - ~1880)
  6. Jane Lauderdale (~1813 - )
  7. Angeline Lauderdale (~1815 - )
  8. James Monroe Lauderdale (~1820 - )
  9. Andrew Jackson Lauderdale (1825 - ~1902).

In the 1850 census Janes (age 70), Farmer, was in Division 15, Fayette, Alabama, United States.[2]

James died about 1850 in Alabama aged ~77.
