Biography

Elizabeth Ida Laughlin was born July 16, 1843 in Columbiana County, Ohio, USA.[1] Her parents are Robert Laughlin and Mariah Brown.[2]

On September 19, 1850 she was living on a farm with her parents and siblings in Franklin Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, USA.[2]

On June 8, 1860 she was living on her parents' farm with four siblings in Franklin Township, Columbiana County, Ohio.[3]

Elizabeth's first husband was Jacob Shaub.[1] Their children are

  2. Ida L. Shaub
  3. Cora Dell Shaub
  4. Clara Bell Shaub
  5. Emma Maria Shaub
  6. Edward Shaub
  7. Mabel M. Shaub
  8. Henry Garfield Shaub
  9. Frank J. Shaub

On June 9, 1880 she was living with her husband and six children in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.[4]

Her first husband, Jacob, died in August 1882 in a railroad accident.[5]

Elizabeth married her second husband, Bernard Cook on July 17, 1899.[6] They had no children together.

On June 14, 1900, she was living with her second husband, Bernard Cook, and her son, Frank Shaub, in Northwest, Williams County, Ohio, USA.[7]

Elizabeth died on May 19, 1916 in Algansee, Branch County, Michigan. She is buried in Billingstown Cemetery, Northwest, Williams County, Ohio, USA.[1]

Notes

After her first husband Jacob's death, she married Bernard Cook, who had two children by a previous wife.[6]
