Gillian I am still awaiting a response to my first email to you as a Project Leader concerning the activities of Simon Ross w.r.t. my profiles, which was followed up by a second that you have also not responded to, and clarification that his mentoring process has been completed.

Hi there Christopher,

I would like to be added to Rose Petherick's trusted. If you remember back in the day, we collaborated on this profile. I remember sending an email with information to help start the profile.

I have sent a request through the system and I will follow up with an email of our effort together in identifying this as a worthy profile to create.

Hope you are well and all the best.

Hi there Christopher,

I would like to be added to Neville Bonner's trusted list so I can continue with the Indigenous Australian Groups project of improving the profile. I had started but the privacy settings had changed soon after I did this.

I will also follow up with an email and a private message about this, as requested by the Indigenous Australians Google Group.

All the best

Hello Chris, I'm following up on some confusion about recent edits made on Arabanoo Gayamagal. That profile is managed by the Australia Project and is project protected. The changes were made after consultation and collaboration with the Indigenous Australians Project. Kind regards, Gillian

Hi Chris, on a separate matter, I sent you trusted list requests yesterday for Molly Kelly and Nugi Garimara. The Indigenous Australians project are trying to connect Nugi up to the global tree, and we need access to those profiles so that we can add other profiles to her and her mother. I have at least one other profile that I will also send a trusted list request to you for, for the same reason. Thanks for approving those requests promptly. Regards, Gillian

Good afternoon Chris,

I'm following up my request for you to add me as a profile manager of Elea Namatjira. Thank you for adding me to the trusted list, but I now need you to go to the privacy tab of that profile and click on 'add as manager' beside my name. Once you have made me profile manager, I will be able to add the Australia project account to the profile. Elea Namatjira is a Notable Indigenous Australian, and the Australia Project would like to manage the profile. Many thanks, Gillian

Hi Chris,

I know you like writing profiles especially Victorian First Nations profiles, so I thought I would give you the opportunity to follow up on this one

If not, don't worry. I can pick it up again later, if need be.

Best Regards

Simon Ross

Hello Chris, I just checking if you received the message I sent you the other day regarding the Indigenous Australians project. Many thanks, Gillian

Dear Christopher,

There are several pending merges regarding profiles you are the manager of that require further discussion to know how we should proceed. In some cases they refer to duplicate profiles, but because of the history of changes to the profiles, a clear strategy is needed to be able to understand the best way of resolving the merges. Would you please respond to the Indigenous Australian googlegroup to clarify your intentions regarding this profiles?

All the best

Until the naming situation has been resolved in a satisfactory manner, which includes discussion by the project leaders with the people most concerned, there is no point in addressing secondary issues. It is not only disrespectful not to do so, but the length of time that has elapsed since the matter was first raised is ridiculous in my opinion. I am assuming this note goes to all Google members of the project, and it would be good to get other members ideas and opinions as well.

There is a clear consensus about traditional naming structures among First Nations communities and the significance of such names. As much as possible Wikitree guidelines suggest to 'use their conventions not ours' as much as possible. A guide to names for First Nations people in Australian has been provided in the Indigenous Australian Project page. It may also be accessed here. This resource was produced by Dr Lynette Riley. A naming structure based on collaboration cannot be achieved without communication. To participate in the development of the naming structure, please reply to the Indigenous Australian googlegroup. There has been other responses and additional resources provided by other project members in this group.

Best Regards

I am surprised thqat you have been seen as inactive, with so many contributions.

Re: Eliza Reiby: I am not sure that I did that the right way. I wanted to have both spellings available. Maybe the alternative should have gone in"other names" like a person with two married names.

Hi Christopher,

Just a quick note to tell you that when you enter a new category the format is [[Category:Name of Category]] Using the word Categories instead causes an error. Just wanted to let you know! Thanks, Natalie

Hi Christopher. Thanks for merging John Pilfold. I came to him from a different route, exploring his naval career. His bio is already pretty good thanks to you but I would like to add more about his career as he was involved in interesting times. Don't want to meddle too much without asking what you think. Agreed "Whiteford-152 and Whitefoord-17 appear to represent the same person because: I agree these are the same person and should be merged leaving Whitefoord-17 as the proper profile"
