The couple had 8 children between 1787 and 1806, four in Evijärvi and four in Kortesjärvi according to church records. The parish of Kortesjärvi was split off in 1789, which explains this; they didn't really move anywhere, parish lines did.
Susanna was a domestic when Matti married her and had no surname. Apparently _he_ was of the house or village of Laukkonen at the time, which is at the north end of Lake Purmojärvi. In light of the information to follow, this is strange.
Susanna was mentioned to be 65 years, 5 months and 11 days old at the time of her death. If the dates and figures are correct, she was born in the end of October 1769. But they aren't. I couldn't find a Susanna in the Evijärvi records for October 1769, but there is a Susanna, born to a man by the name of Erkki on the 5th of May 1769. I gather this might be her. She was born in the Storvis (Iso-Viisala, Niemelä) house of Purmojärvi. But it's not the right person.
The book of confirmation for Evijärvi parish for 1784-1797 has Matti with his wife and their two children (Liisa, age 4, Maria, age 2) on p. 122. It says Susanna was born on 23 Sep 1769 (making her quite young to marry in Nov 1786) and had come from Lauckon (see p. 120). So, I turned to p. 120 and saw that a clerical error had taken place when copying Susanna's information over to the page of her husband's family. She was born in 1765, and armed with this information, HisKi agrees too: a Susanna, born to Erkki Paavonpoika and Saara Jaakontytär in Laukkonen, on 23 Sep 1765.
