Jacques Lavergne was born in 1706, in Port Royal, Acadia. [1]. His godparents were of high standing in the community, Sieur de Tienville )Lieutenant of a company) and Marguerite Mius, wife of Sieru de le Vendrine. [2]
He was married at age 21 to Francoise Pitre of Beaubassin. They had 11 children between 1728 and 1755.
Jacques and family were exiled to France in 1758 during the Grand Derangement. He died shortly after the trip, in 1759.
