Biography

Gilbert was born on 29 October 1953, in Saint-Boniface, Manitoba, the fourth of six children. He is the son of Louis Lavoie[1][2] and Marguerite Richard.[3][4][5]

He married Janice Jackson on 8 September 1984, at the Transcona Memorial United Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have two daughters, Lianne and Stephanie.

Gil is an active bowler, and also works as a bowling shoe giver outer (he chose that title).
