Biography

Esther was born in 1884. She is the daughter of Joseph Law and Mary Woodill.

On December 5, 1906 Esther marries William James Brownridge (c1883-?) in Toronto. William is a machinist.

The couple have at least two children, both of whom die as infants:

• William Percival Brownridge (1907-1907)

• Elsie Law Brownridge (1909-1909)

Nothing else is known about Esther Law or her husband. They have not been found in the Cdn 1911 census records and, although it is known that there was a Canadian soldier named William James Brownridge killed in WW1, it is not known if this is the same person who married Esther.
