Biography

Henry was born in 1853. He was the son of John Law and Ann Wilson.

Henry was Christened in 1853 Presbyterian, Gloucester

[mariegorton.ged] BIOGRAPHY: Henry was known as "Big Harry", standing 6'4". He was a very able oarsman who was always handicapped in rowing races on the Clarence. The rest of the competitors would have disappeared along the river before Henry was allowed to start rowing. Henry was a Cobb & Co driver between Lawrence and Tenterfield before he settled at Kings Creek late in 1875 to live and farm for the rest of his life.

Henry was married at the age of 21 years at the Wesleyan Parsonage, Tenterfield, to Ellen, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (nee MORAN) CONSIDINE. Officiant was Rev Robert ALLEN. Witnesses to the marriage were James O'CONNOR and Harriett TYRRELL.
